Rudi Blues grew out of the Blues Venue, Rudi's Blues Cafe, or Rudi’s Blues which opened in 2008 and is now sadly missed.  Over 200 major acts (and hundreds of local bands) played there in only 2 years and the venue attracted a big following not only through the fans but also the bands. In the last ten years, Rudi and Joe with help from many friends, have presented over 1,000 acts.

Anyway, RUDIS blues club was a complete shock to me for as I went down the stairs I was confronted with a magnificent new club; very similar to the clubs we played in the US. Rudi has done a fantastic job in bringing blues artists into the town and we all thought that the club was up there amongst the best in Europe.  We had a great show there and thank the lovely welcome we received too.”

Rudi and Joe have promoted acts since the early 1990’s at events such as ‘Music In The Sun’ which attracted 45,000 in 1997, ‘Oakwood Beer Festival’  which has raised enormous amounts of money for local children’s charities, and Rudi's JAM nights, now in our 8th year. 

While our aim is to promote live music for the benefit of the fans and the bands, we also raise funds for local causes such as Rotherham Hospice, Bluebell Wood and Weston Park Cancer Charity, through Brave New Arts Events Ltd, a not for profit organisation.
